Safety Alert Symbol A triangle with an exclamation point in the middle. This symbol is used to communicate potential personal injury hazards.
DANGER Use the Danger header for situations where there is a specific hazard present that will cause a serious injury or possibly death if people do not actively avoid it. This danger header should only be used in the most serious situations.
WARNING The Warning is used for serious hazard that could result in injury or death, such as arc flash hazards or biohazards.
CAUTION Use the Caution header for hazardous situations that could cause an injury that is classified as minor to moderate.
NOTICE The Notice header is used in situations where it's necessary to convey information but there is no hazard present and no risk of injury. This header is perfect for instructions, indicating safety procedures, or to alert workers of the location of safety equipment.

How It Works
Thermal transfer printers work by using heat to transfer solid ink from the ribbon onto the label supply. As the ribbon passes through the print head and platen, the ink is bonded to the label supply (or other material) with heat and pressure, creating a permanent print.
The use of heat to activate pigment is what makes thermal transfer printers unique from other printers. Since there are not many moving parts, thermal transfer printers are easier to maintain and tend to last longer. The labels they create are better able to withstand heat, weather, chemicals, water, and other harsh conditions.
